I was in northern VA Saturday May 11th but had my chase gear with me even tho’ the setup was marginal.  I wound up chasing three separate storms – all sporting wallclouds – in three separate locales: Amelia Courthouse, Blackstone, and Lynchburg.  The first two storms (and locales) were cells that fired out ahead of a cold front while the third one was on the front itself just it crossed the Blue Ridge mountains.  Admittedly the “mothership” mesocyclone and wallcloud I witnessed just west of Lynchburg was the most impressive of the three storms but this one near Blackstone was no slouch either:

A very fruitful chase day if I do say so myself!!
