SPC Day Two convective outlook for tomorrow (Monday) resembles yesterday’s Day Three outlook. Shear, instability, and dewpoints all look favorable for severe storms ahead of a cold front approaching from the west. I’m counting on a lee trough to fire up discrete storms east of the Blue Ridge mountains but I’ll have to get on one right away as they look to line out quickly.

However if I can do that – i.e. get on a discrete storm early – conditions are marginally favorable for supercells. Catching one of those here in Virginia in April would be an awesome early season intercept!

[Oh, and I’ve added the Severe Studios livestream link in the sidebar. When/if I do turn on the livestream just click on that link and look for me in the chaser list.]
