Heading out to chase very soon. Just saw this text covering West VA & VA from the 1630Z SPC convective outlook update (excerpted) that verifies what I’ve been seeing on the models:
FORECAST SOUNDINGS WILL BE FAVORABLE FOR ROTATING STORMS...BUT MOSTMODEL GUIDANCE SUGGESTS MIXED STORM MODE WITH SEVERAL BOWING SEGMENTS. LOCALLY DAMAGING WINDS AND HAIL ARE THE MAIN THREAT. IFSTORMS CAN MAINTAIN DISCRETE MODE...ISOLATED TORNADOES CANNOT BE RULED OUT.
