Couple of anemic cells went up after 5 pm today but I had other obligations and wasn’t that interested in chasing. Per the 18Z GFS Tuesday looks a lot better with more CAPE forecast along the stalled warm front across southern and western Virginia. Deep layer shear over 40 knots along the boundary could make for some good storms tomorrow afternoon between the US 220 and 460 corridors.

Wednesday’s “goodness” depends on where the boundary is located during the afternoon. It could be a rinse and repeat from Tuesday’s action with a bit more directional shear. We’ll have to see on that.

Meanwhile Thursday’s CAPE situation looks good but shear seems to be rather woeful. Perhaps some small hailers?
